When is this disgusting behavior going to stop? The HuffPost and New York Times are reporting that yet another Fox News personality has engaged in ongoing, lewd and predatory sexual harassment of female colleagues and guests of the network.
From the HuffPost: “Eric Bolling, a longtime Fox News host, sent an unsolicited photo of male genitalia via text message to at least two colleagues at Fox Business and one colleague at Fox News.”
“Recipients of the photo confirmed its contents to HuffPost, which is not revealing their identities. The women, who are Bolling’s current and former Fox colleagues, concluded the message was from him because they recognized his number from previous work-related and informal interactions. The messages were sent several years ago, on separate occasions.”
“The women did not solicit the messages, which they told colleagues were deeply upsetting and offensive.”
The allegations reported by the HuffPost were supported by twelve sources. Bolling, who disputes the allegations, has since been suspended.
The Bolling allegations are just the latest claims tarnishing the image of Fox News. Roger Ailes, the now deceased former chairman of Fox News, was forced to resign in disgrace last year when reports emerged that he subjected numerous women to disgusting sexual advances. More recently, Bill O’Reilly, who built is brand by hypocritically decrying the decline of “traditional values”, was fired by Fox after the New York Times revealed the network had paid out $13 million to his sexual harassment victims.
Update: Shortly after Fox suspended Bolling, another female former guest host at Fox came forward with new allegations. From the HuffPost: “Three hours after Fox News announced it had suspended host Eric Bolling following allegations that he had sexually harassed female colleagues, a former Fox News guest leveled new accusations against him. Caroline Heldman, who appeared on the network frequently between 2008 and 2011, said Saturday that Bolling was one of three Fox News/Fox Business employees to subject her to sexual harassment.”
