Yesterday President Trump garishly tweeted a series of self-congratulatory images boasting of his role in the US Navy’s missile strike on Syria. Instead of describing his administration’s plans for Syria after the attack – as one would expect – Trump took to social media to share flattering images of himself playing Commander-in-Chief.
Numerous media outlets have argued that the missile strikes were not intended actually harm the Syrian military; but, instead were designed simply to distract the American public from the growing Trump-Russia scandal. The evidence to back this theory up is strong, most notably in that the bombed Syrian airbase is ALREADY up and running again just days after the attack.
It’s clear that Trump will try anything, including war, to distract us from investigating his possible collusion with Russia. Unfortunately for him, it isn’t working.
