Donald has made a habit of naming people opposed to an agency to head that new agency. This time, Donald has stooped to a new low.
The Hill reports that Donald has named Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a noted vaccine skeptic, to chair his commission to investigate vaccine safety. Kennedy insists that we “ought to be debating the science” of vaccines.
Kennedy’s remarks don’t end there. In 2015, he postulated to a Sacramento audience that there was a connection between vaccines and autism, and called the effects of vaccines a “Holocaust.”
Trump shared this view. In 2014, Trump shared story about a “healthy young child” who developed autism after vaccinations, tweeting there are “many such cases!”
These choices are not without consequence. This year the anti-vaxxers were said to cause the worst measles outbreak in 20 years.
